Dermal Fillers

WHAT ARE DERMAL FILLERS?

Dermal fillers injections can be composed of a variety of substances, some naturally occurring and some synthetic. One of the most common compounds used in dermal fillers is hyaluronic acid (HA). HA is a naturally occurring substance found in our skin, and it plays a major role in keeping skin hydrated and volumized.

In the US, fillers are approved as medical devices by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the injection is prescribed and performed by a provider.

There are several different types of dermal fillers. The most common is:

Hyaluronic acid base filler.

WHAT SHOULD I KNOW ABOUT DERMAL FILLERS?

Dermal filler injections are a type of nonsurgical cosmetic procedure, are soft, gel-like substances that are injected under the skin.

Injectable dermal fillers are a great minimally invasive option for facial rejuvenation.

HA fillers, depending on their specific chemical makeup, can last from six months to much longer before being gradually absorbed by the body.

Most dermal fillers today consist of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring polysaccharide that is present in skin and cartilage. Some people may need more than one injection to achieve the wrinkle-smoothing effect.

HOW IS DERMAL FILLERS USED?

As we age, the amount of hyaluronic acid decreases in the skin and the skin loses elasticity and develops deep wrinkles.

Injectable filler (injectable cosmetic filler, injectable facial filler) is a soft tissue filler injected into the skin at different depths to help fill in facial wrinkles, provide facial volume, and augment facial features: restoring a smoother appearance. Most of these wrinkle fillers are temporary because they are eventually absorbed by the body.

Dermal fillers can be carefully injected into the face to fill in these wrinkles or to plump up areas of the face which have lost volume over time.

WHAT IS DERMAL FILLERS INJECTIONS TREAT?

Dermal Fillers is an injectable treatment performed in Rose Bella Med Spa where you can find the right preparation and communication between you and your physician, can help smooth lines and replenish lost volume, restoring a more youthful appearance.

The first use for DERMAL FILLERS is to be used to smooth away facial lines and wrinkles, to improve the areas around the eyes, the cheeks, temples, augment the lips, and refine the nose (liquid rhinoplasty).

They can address several common concerns including smoothing of deep under-eye circles, lifting of cheekbones, volumization of the lips, smoothing of lip lines and nasolabial folds (the creases that run from the side of the nose to the corners of the mouth), and rejuvenation of the hands.

The effect lasts for about six months or longer. Successful results depend on health of the skin, skill of the health care provider, and type of filler used. Regardless of material filler duration is highly dependent on amount of activity in the region where it is injected. Exercise and high intensity activities such as manual labor can stimulate blood flow and shorten the lifespan of fillers.

WHAT BENEFITS CAN I GET WITH DERMAL FILLERS INJECTIONS?

Dermal Fillers injections is a non-surgical procedure and is an excellent option for cosmetic procedures because they are non-invasive and fast. The entire procedure only takes a few minutes to perform, especially when working with a professional in Rose Bella Med Spa.

Collagen is an important substance that exists all over your body, including in your skin, muscles, bones and connective tissues. Decreased amounts of collagen in your skin causes skin laxity (loose) and loss of volume. Skin becomes thinner, loses its elasticity and starts to sag.

Add volume to sagging skin.

Soften facial creases and wrinkles

Improve the appearance of recessed scars

Reconstruct contour deformities in the face

To smooth out lines around nose and mouth (a.k.a. marionette lines, smile lines, and parentheses), enhance & restore volume to sunken cheeks or temples.
