Microblading

WHAT IS MICROBLADING?

Florida require microblading studios to have a tattoo license to meet regulations. Microblading is a form of semi-permanent tattooing. Microblading is also called embroidery, feather touch, microstroking, 3D eyebrow embroidery, or hair-like strokes.

Microblading is a tattooing technique and form of permanent makeup in which a small handheld tool made of several tiny needles is used to add semi-permanent pigment to the skin. Microblading differs from standard eyebrow tattooing, as each hairstroke is created by hand using a blade which creates fine slices in the skin, whereas eyebrow tattoos are done with a machine and single needle bundle.

WHAT SHOULD I KNOW ABOUT MICROBLADING?

For most of women, eyebrows are an important part of our looks. So, permanent tattooing is not an ideal option—especially for those who don’t want the life-long commitment. This is the reason microblading, with its low-maintenance and semi-permanent appeal, has quickly become a go-to beauty treatment for women looking to obtain perfectly shaped (and filled in) eyebrows with little to no effort.

Microblading is a permanent brow tattoo treatment, but it fades over time. Fading depends on many factors, such as your skin type and lifestyle.

Before eyebrow microblading:

Avoid Botox: No Botox treatments should be done 3 weeks prior or 4 weeks after procedure, Botox should be avoided the same as waxing. We strongly advised not to get Botox before your microblading treatment because if you do and the microblading treatment is done the brow placement may not settle where and how you want it once the Botox wears off.

Avoid Waxing: No waxing or tinting 3 days before procedure. Waxing can cause an unnatural feeling on your eyebrows. Consider avoiding it because microblading is all about working with what you naturally have.

No alcohol or caffeine 24 hours before procedure: This may result in frequent bleeding while conducting a microblading procedure.

Do NOT take aspirin, niacin, vitamin E, fish oil, CoQ10 and ibuprofen 48 hours before procedure.

HOW IS MICROBLADING USED?

Microblading can be done to fill in receding hairlines or the crown of the head, eyebrows are the most popular place to get the procedure done.

It is a tool topped with tiny blades to make micro incisions in your brows which then fill with semi-permanent pigment.

There are two main methods of microblading. One involves using a hand-held tool to create little scratches on the surface of the skin as the pigment is applied to the scratches and surrounding skin to copy the random, sweeping patterns of natural hairs. The second microblading procedure uses a motorized electric pen tool, which drives the color deeper into the dermis, helping the pigment to remain for a longer period.

WHAT IS MICROBLADING TREAT?

Microblading treatment is a specialized process that involves implanting pigment into your skin’s superficial layers to resemble eyebrow hair. This treatment is ideal for people who have experienced some hair loss and wish to restore the appearance of very natural-looking eyebrows. Microblading sessions may last for 30 minutes up to three hours for the initial session. Results usually last between one and three years. However, there are several factors that affect the longevity of the results. Examples include Age, Skin type, Skin health, Adherence to aftercare instructions, Daily skincare routine, Environmental factors, Sun exposure.
